Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

  • Are you feeling depressed and tend to have negative thoughts?
  • You think that you are a failure in all things and that no one likes you?
  • Do you use mind reading to decide other people think badly of you?
  • Do you stop going out and meeting people?
  • Do you avoid things you normally find pleasurable?

CBT is particular good for people who tell themselves that they shouldn't feel certain emptions, decide that everything that goeds wrong is their fault.

    CBT can help you
  • Participate in the activities again you once enjoyed.
  • Notice the way you think about yourself and how this effects your behaviour.
  • To face up to your fear, and give you tips on how to cope better, increasing your confidence.
  • To see how your thoughts and behaviour are related to the way you feel and can help to change your behaviour.

By examining the way you are thinking, CBT will help you to put you in in the position to consider your assumptions and beliefs and look at whether there are alternative ways of viewing things.
