What is therapy

Psychotherapy gives you an opportunity to share your problems in confidence with someone trained in listening. It provides you with a safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment to explore thoughts and feelings about yourself and your relationships with others and may help you to make significant changes in your life.

Counselling is a popular term for dealing with psychological problems through discussion and exploration. This is usually short term (Cognitive Behavioural techniques and Time Limited Counselling).

Psychotherapy explores issues in greater depth and therefore usually takes longer (Existential, Integrative and Person Centred Approach).

In our first meeting we will look together at the best possible choice of therapy or a combination of therapies, suited to your particular needs and requirements.
